Electrically Conductive Materials

Stat-Tech™ Static Dissipative & Electrically Conductive Formulations

Protects Electronics

Stat-Tech™ is an electrically conductive formulation engineered to protect critical electronics from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electromagnetic and radio frequency interference (EMI/RFI). These short fiber formulations combine select engineering resins with reinforcing additives such as carbon powder, carbon fiber, nickel-coated carbon fiber and stainless steel fiber, to provide the precise level of electrical conductivity required for your application.

Injection moldable Stat-Tech material can replace aluminum, or the costly processes associated with conductive painting or vacuum metallization, while achieving comparable performance. Depending on your application’s performance needs, we can develop a custom Stat-Tech formulation to provide anti-static properties, dissipation, conduction and EMI/RFI shielding. Stat-Tech is well-positioned to perform in automotive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) housing applications.

Lightweighting

Impact

  • Targeted at static dissipation and electrical conduction (target resistivity range of 102 to 109 ohms/sq), and some EMI/RFI shielding applications
  • Protection from static buildup to minimize sparks from damaging nearby electrical components
  • Some integrated EMI/RFI shielding, eliminating the need for secondary operations like painting or vacuum metallization
  • Lightweighting & increased design freedom
  • Part consolidation
  • Ideal for industries including transportation/automotive, electrical and electronics, and healthcare
