Avient Celebrates Innovation in Packaging Across Latin America in Partnership with Grandes Cases de Embalagem Award

SAO PAULO – October 30, 2025 – Avient Corporation, an innovator of materials solutions, is proud to highlight its ongoing partnership with the Grandes Cases de Embalagem (GCE) Award, which celebrated its 25th anniversary ceremony this week, bringing together packaging industry leaders from across Latin America. This award annually recognizes and celebrates innovative packaging solutions that optimize design, materials, and processes, driving improvements throughout the product chain. Avient’s ongoing contributions to this year’s award and creation of the trophy reaffirm its commitment to driving innovation in the packaging industry. 

This year, the GCE award expanded its reach to all of Latin America, marking a significant milestone in its history. For 25 years, the award has recognized and celebrated innovative packaging solutions in Brazil, and its expansion to the rest of Latin America acknowledges the region’s growing importance in the global packaging industry. By opening the award to a broader geographic area, the GCE can tap into a wider range of innovative ideas and solutions, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across borders in an effort to drive further innovation and advancement in the industry.

To commemorate this expansion, Avient took a novel approach in helping to create the trophy. During a co-creation initiative centered on Latin American identity, Vinicius Lopes from Avient’s ColorWorks™ design team facilitated focus groups to identify a color that authentically captures the region’s spirit. This effort resulted in a lively hue that embodies Latin America’s diverse cultural heritage and biodiversity while also aligning with one of Avient’s ColorForward™ 2026 trends, called "Carnival of Fuels,” which emphasizes clean energy and mineral access. 

"We were excited to be a part of the GCE Award’s 25th anniversary celebrations and contribute to the trophy’s design,” said Raquel Morais, Business Development Manager at Avient. “This year marked a significant milestone as the award expanded beyond Brazil to include Latin America for the first time. Our co-creation process allowed us to tap into the essence of Latin America, resulting in a color that was both bold and meaningful.
