In order to stripe, code or top coat on PFA (as well PTFE and FEP), Colorant Chromatics FEP or PTFE Inks may be used.

FEP and PTFE marking inks are aqueous dispersions based on:

  • FEP/PTFE
  • Water
  • Inorganic and organic light stable pigments

Colors offered

  • 10 standard colors. Other colors available upon request.
  • All colors are heavy metal free

Colorant Chromatics striping inks for PFA have high viscosity, enabling them to stripe well on large wire diameters. For smaller diameters the viscosity should be reduced with distilled water and Colorant Chromatics wetting agent. Refer to the datasheet for additional suggestions to reduce viscosity.

Colorant Chromatics printing inks for PFA have extra high viscosity, enabling them to print well on large wire diameters. For smaller diameters dilution may be required. Refer to the datasheet for suggestions to reduce viscosity.

Inks for PFA wet well on PFA, PTFE and FEP and should be sintered at temperatures close to the melting point of the plastic for an appropriate period of time.
