Color dispersions, Inks and Low Noise Dispersion coating for PTFE

View

This is aqueous dispersion used to top coat low noise coaxial cables with dielectric cores of either PTFE or FEP.

The dispersion is based on PTFE and it functions as a shielding, which reduces the influence of outside radiation. The dispersion will reduce RF noise in coaxial cables when they are in motion (e.g. EKG sensor cables). It could also be used as an antistatic coating on FEP or PTFE impregnated glass cloth or resistance carrier for heating bands.

The dispersion is applied by dip coating followed by sintering. The viscosity of this dispersion is balanced to enable proper adhesion to the core during the dip coating process. It is composed of PTFE Resin dispersed in water with a conductive additive that is bound by the PTFE following the Sintering steps.
